I have used Kong dog toys for years both personally and professionally. I trained K9′s for years and the Kong is an excellent reward. This latest purchase of for my house German Shepherd…and 86 pounder who has destroyed most other chew toys.

This is the only toy that my lab mix and Bouvier have not tore up. They are both strong chewers and these have held up great. They have had them for a month now and they are still intact.

These are about the only thing our Staffordshire Bull Terrier can’t destroy w/i a couple of days. They will last months before he finally gets the best of them. Being able to get them at this price & FREE s&H was a really terrific bargain!

This chew toy (black Kong Extreme Large Dog Toy) is AWESOME!!! It’s the only chew toy that my dog actually CAN’T chew through and destroy! I feel safe leaving my Lab/Australian Shepard mix alone with this priceless toy that’s worth EVERY penny!

I have 3 labs and an australian cattle dog who are all major chewers. They love this toy especially with a little peanut butter spread on the inside- hours of enjoyment!

My Samoyed loves this toy and so far hasn’t managed to trash it. Yay! It’s sturdy and VERY chewable.

Important note: the extreme Kong is NOT the same as the red Kong, which apparently is much flimsier. I got this for my neighbor’s good-natured pit bull Major, after seeing him shred everything else. Thin rubber squeaky toys last only a few hours, nylabones perhaps a day or two, and even the thick rubber chill pill got shredded. But the Kong Extreme has (to my surprise) remained intact. I had begun to think that only a chunk of cinderblock would survive…maybe. Extreme Kong takes funny bounces (which apparently is part of the idea. Toys with rope handles made for better slobber-avoiding toss-and-fetching, but handles got chewed off very quickly. You can throw this by poking your finger in the holes and tossing–it’s marginally better in terms of slobber than many other toys. Kong comes in different sizes–the largest may outweigh your toy Chihuahua, so be judicious. If a neighbor has a pit bull, getting on his good side is important, even if he is as good-natured as Major!

I bought this for my daughters boxer who LOVES it. She chews it, plays with it, and carries it around. I have 2 pugs who are not interested. They only play with “plush” toys but, if you have a serious chewer, teething puppy or larger dog that would destroy stuffed toys this is teriffic

Toys don’t last in my household unless they hold up to extreme chewers. The Kongs are good for keeping the separation anxiety dogs busy while I’m away from home. My dogs like to carry Kongs just like most dogs carry balls. I’ve never had a Kong destroyed by dogs.
